Bill Zahn, an artist based in Los Angeles, is a veteran character artist, designer, and art director who has worked at Pixar Animation Studios for more than 20 years. He recently served as an art director for the record-breaking film Inside Out 2 (2024). Before his tenure at Pixar, he worked on high-profile live-action blockbusters for Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light & Magic, contributing to visual effects and model work for films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Men in Black, and the Star Wars prequels. Bill started his art and effects career in practical effects as a scultpor and painter, working on many feature films along with the famous Budweiser frog commercials. Bill’s career as an independent artist and filmmaker has taken many of his creations in new and exciting directions, acquiring several awards for his work..
