Soft Serve

There's a particular kind of summer afternoon that calls for a cone: the walk to the stand, the first soft lick before it starts to melt, the sun taking its time. Soft Serve is that afternoon. The lower barrel is a warm golden waffle-cone, textured in a crosshatch you know by heart, with a white soft-serve drip melting down over the collar. Up top, a clear chamber is packed with white pearls instead of crystals, finished with a gold cap and a gold clip. Matte gold hardware the whole way down to the tip.
