Schneider 2023 Norheimer Kirschheck Riesling Spätlese Fruity
Jakob Schneider's top-class Riesling Spätlese is concentrated, flowery, fruity and spicy, with a gripping acidic structure. The Riesling grapes were grown in a vineyard with steep, south facing slopes rich in grey slate, which warms up quickly proving optimum growing conditions. The vines in this vineyard are around 55 years old. The grapes were hand picked and gently pressed. The wine left to mature in 50% oak barrels and 50% stainless steel vats with natural yeast. The wine was bottled in March 2023. Alcohol: 8,0% vol. Res. sugar: 73,70 g/l Acidity: 9,5 g/l
