The Premium Glaze Adobe Jar is a large double fired ceramic jar in a single size, 64 x 86cm, offered in ten hand applied glaze colourways. At 54 kg empty it is a floor standing piece, not something you shift around, and that is the appeal: a jar this size settles an entry or a pool surround on its own. Keep the holes clear and raise the jar on feet so water escapes freely. Cover the holes with a single layer of fibreglass flyscreen, never fabric or geofabric, which clog. Add a 50mm layer of 10mm gravel, then a premium potting mix rather than garden soil. Choose plants suited to containers: aggressive roots can damage any planter.
