WINEMAKER LAURA DI COLLOBIANO’S NOTE: Hints of liquorice, menthol and underbrush are laced into a core of super ripe, red-toned fruit. Complex, dark and sensual, the 2022 Palistorti has a huge drinkability also thanks to its balance and silky tannins. Blend is 70% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot, and 10% Syrah. Palistorti means “crooked posts”. It was the name given to the vineyard when it was planted. The soil is very hard and stony which made it difficult to drive the posts in straight. The average age of the vines is 40 years. This drinks like excellent Brunello with a hint of Bordeaux. CASE of 6.
