Patti Austin – For Ella
For Ella is a studio album by American singer Patti Austin, released May 21, 2002 on Playboy Jazz and Concord Records. Recorded June 19-28, 2001 at WDR Studio and the Cologne Philharmonie in Germany, along with Capitol Studios and G Studio Digital in California, the album was produced by Gregg Field, Patrick Williams, and Wolfgang Hirschmann, with arrangements by Williams performed alongside the WDR Big Band. The twelve-track album is a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, reinterpreting standards long associated with her repertoire, including Honeysuckle Rose, A Tisket A Tasket, and How High the Moon.
