Metal Shaping Class - Hand Tools only

These classes are beginner based and cover shaping sheet metal parts panels with basic in expensive hand tools. Doing hand tool work builds a solid foundation on shaping that will translate directly into powered machinery if you go that route. A solid foundation and understanding of what the metal is doing and how to get it to move the way you want is key to metal shaping. Class limited to 6 students so spots may fill up quickly. ———————————————————— Friday 5pm-7pm -Shop meet and greet -Q&A -Familiarize yourself with the shop ————————————————- Saturday 8am-5pm We will cover basic principles in the following. -paper patterning -panel layout -creating shape with basic hand tools Class cost for Friday and Saturday is $850 per person. I am also going to offer an optional extended learning day on Sunday from 9am-2pm to get more equipment and shop time for an additional $450. This additional time is signed up for Sunday morning of the class. By purchasing on the website you are paying a 50% class cost deposit to reserve your spot. The Remaining balance will be due the morning of the class. 50 % discounted for deposit added at check out ———————————————————— Housekeeping items: Safety equipment/PPE - Please bring what you feel comfortable with but I recommend ear protection and gloves at a minimum. Lodging - There are a few hotels close to the shop.
