Small Etched Vintage Oxblood Coral Ring in 22K Gold
Italian deep red oxblood coral is called "Moro." It is a color that possesses a certain authority and mystery. The contrast between a deep Moro red and 22K gold is one of the most luxurious color pairings and feels ancient and powerful. Oxblood coral primarily comes from the deep waters off the coast of Japan and Taiwan. It is a deep blackened crimson that mimics the color of oxygenated blood. Unlike Mediterranean coral, which grows at accessible depths, oxblood coral grows at extreme depths, making it dangerous to harvest, and is incredibly slow-growing. With delicate hand-etched details at each corner, this ring possesses an enchanting folkloric spirit. An oval coral stone measuring 7/16” x 3/16” is bezel-set on an 22K gold etched flat oval measuring 5/8” x 3/8”. This treasure of a ring is a size 6. All stones are ethically sourced. Made in NYC.
