Apples - Sweet Maia

Four apples (approximately 1.8 lbs.) grown by South Baldwin Farms in their orchard located 20 miles south of Lawrence. Sweet Maia is a cross between Honeycrisp and Winesap apples, which makes for a crunchy, firm, and juicy apple. It has a beautiful red blush over yellow skin and crispy flesh with a mildly sweet taste. Great in salads, baked goods, or all by themselves! South Baldwin Farms does not follow organic practices, but they reduce pesticide usage via a variety of integrated pest management techniques. In addition, some of the pesticides they use are organic (OMRI certified), and they use drip irrigation to reduce water usage.
