Holth, dating to approximately the 1950s. The bracelet is composed of a series of substantial sculptural links formed as sweeping interlocking ribbon or S-scroll motifs. Each link is finished with luminous royal/cobalt-blue translucent enamel over finely patterned guilloché decoration, creating wonderful depth and movement as the bracelet catches the light. The fluid abstract design is a beautiful example of mid-century Scandinavian Modernism, combining clean geometric structure with graceful organic curves. The gilded silver borders provide a warm contrast against the exceptionally vivid blue enamel. The use of both 925S sterling silver and 830S silver markings on different components of the clasp is documented on other Ivar T. Holth bracelets and is consistent with period Norwegian construction. The bracelet fastens with a concealed box-style push clasp. In excellent vintage condition, with no observed chips, cracks, enamel losses or repairs. There is some age-related fading and wear to the original gilded finish, consistent with a piece of this age. The glossy enamel is highly reflective; any white lines or bright areas visible in the photographs are reflections rather than enamel damage. A superb example of Ivar T. Holth mid-century Norwegian enamel jewelry, with exceptional color, bold sculptural form and beautifully preserved enamel.
