Frog Prince Ornament

Being the Christmas specialists that we are, and consuming a respectable amount of Christmas kitsch annually, we thought we had seen it all — until we saw these! Their distinctive style comes from a demanding production method, rooted in the German glass-blowing tradition — not moulded, but shaped with wooden paddles as the glass is slowly blown. Each figure is assembled from free-blown elements — limbs, features, and accessories — giving every piece maximum expression and often a touch of humour in its silhouette. These ornaments became all the rage in the 1980s, featuring themes such as the Smurfs, The Phantom of the Opera, and, this year, even Annie Hall! Please note as each ornament is handpainted, variations in colour and painting detail, sometimes small material substitutions will occur.
