Louis Test Product (95F)

The Akari 1N is among the wave of new Akari light sculptures that Isamu Noguchi created in the 1960s, and features mulberry bark washi paper, irregular bamboo ribbing, and an asymmetrical rounded form set on three metal legs. The 1N exemplifies Noguchi pushing further away from the traditional, even ribbing and symmetrical forms that characterized many of his earlier Akari.
