VEKU HANDWOVEN CUSHION - MONOCHROME

Veku is a study in lines, rhythm and geometry, crafted in Dimapur, Nagaland, on a traditional backstrap loom. Its design brings together measured linear bands, repeating diamond motifs and contrasting checks, creating a pattern that feels both graphic and deeply rooted in the visual language of Nagaland. The diamonds punctuate the otherwise disciplined lines, while the repetition gives the textile its quiet rhythm. Woven slowly, one section at a time on the backstrap loom, Veku is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional weaving vocabulary - where the beauty lies as much in the structure of the weave as it does in the pattern.
