Kingfisher Four common species of Kingfisher can be found at Mai Po. They mainly prey on fish, bur sometimes also consume flying insects and frogs. It can be found at fish pond, gei wai and be seen all year round. Breeding had been recorded in the Reserve. It often perches on tree branches or posts beside the water edge.
