Solton HD 101

Solton HD 101 is a passive two-way fullrange loudspeaker in a multi-angle 15 mm birch plywood enclosure measuring 320 x 518 x 293 mm — identical in footprint to the active aart T-10 A. A 10" driver on a 2" (50 mm) voice coil and a 1.75" voice coil, 1" exit HF compression driver work through a passive 2.7 kHz crossover with PTC protection, requiring no external electronics for fullrange operation. At 13 kg and 98 dB sensitivity (1 W/1 m), the HD 101 is the smallest and lightest passive top in the HD series — suited to permanent installations and portable PA wherever the active T-10 A would be unnecessary or where running mains to each cabinet is impractical. 10" driver with 2" voice coil and 2.7 kHz crossover — passive fullrange without outboard electronics The 10" driver on a 2" (50 mm) voice coil handles the MF/LF range from 55 Hz (-10 dB) up to the crossover point, delivering 98 dB sensitivity and a maximum SPL of 123 dB continuous / 129 dB peak at 1 m — sufficient for rooms of up to 150 people without a subwoofer for light programme material. The 1.75" voice coil, 1" exit HF compression driver covers from 2.7 kHz to 20 kHz (-10 dB). PTC protection guards the HF driver without an external limiter. The 90° x 60° constant-directivity horn rotates by hand between vertical and horizontal orientation. The 8 Ω nominal impedance and two NL4 connectors (pins 1+/1-) support series or parallel wiring of multiple cabinets from a single amplifier channel. Seven M8 inserts, a pole-mount socket and an optional U-bracket cover all standard mounting configurations. Passive satellite for TWA 15 SUB and system with HD 181 Sub The HD 101 is the officially recommended satellite for the TWA 15 SUB, which drives passive tops directly from its built-in satellite amplifier channel (350 W / 4 Ω). It also works as an MF/HF top in systems with the passive HD 181 Sub subwoofer, powered from an external amplifier and DSP 206 N or DP 1800 processor. The TU Frame fly bracket (art. 12522) is shared with the aart T-10 A. Transport cover art. 12627 fits the same enclosure.
