Pampoeneland 2022

An intense, deeply focused expression of Grenache. The nose opens with concentrated aromas of black cherry, wild raspberry, and crushed rose petals, layered over a distinct hint of dried fynbos and white pepper. The palate delivers exceptional tension; a solid mid-palate of bright red currant is enlivened by a signature streak of blood orange acidity. Coiled and muscular, the wine displays tightly wound, chalky shale tannins that yield to a persistent, deeply savoury, and mineral-driven finish.
