Seed planted after September, once temperatures drop below 20°C, won't come up in 2027. It'll wait until 2028. Plant it now and you'll see it next spring. In Vancouver or anywhere with a wet winter, use pots or a raised bed. Once it's up Leave it alone the first two years. From year 3, if a plant sends up two leaves, take one and leave the other.
