The NEXO (low EN-B) is designed for pilots who simply love flying. Compact in feel, precise in handling, and surprisingly capable, it combines high passive safety with genuine cross-country potential and intuitive flight behavior. From your first thermal flights to long cross-country adventures, safety training, and freestyle maneuvers, the NEXO is built to make every flight enjoyable. The NEXO simply makes flying feel good. XC WITH CONFIDENCE The NEXO was developed for real cross country flying. Its top speed feels closer to a far more demanding wing. The flight feeling does not. The new NOVA profile generation provides excellent stability in accelerated flight. The air remains clearly noticeable. The canopy stays compact. Pitch movements are damped while the wing still feels alive. This creates a strong sense of confidence during long glides and demanding transitions. EASY LAUNCHES The NEXO rises reliably and controllably above the pilot. The canopy inflates quickly and rises smoothly through the center section, making it easy to guide and control throughout the launch. As it approaches the top of the window, the canopy naturally reduces its energy, significantly reducing the tendency to overshoot. Even if pressure is released too early during inflation, the canopy remains manageable and can easily be guided back overhead. The result is simple, relaxed launches that make the flight enjoyable from the very beginning. SAFETY WITH RESERVES The NEXO was developed with a strong focus on passive safety. During held-collapse simulations, the wing shows very little tendency to rotate toward the collapsed side. Even during real collapses in turbulent conditions, the reactions remain controlled and predictable. NOVA has tested the NEXO beyond the applicable certification standards. Reopenings happen quickly, while the canopy generates very little additional energy during recovery. This is particularly beneficial after larger collapses, helping to significantly reduce secondary reactions. The wing also demonstrates impressive behavior in accelerated flight, with accelerated collapses differing only minimally from those occurring at normal speed. For NOVA, the principle is simple: a true low-B wing proves its quality when conditions become challenging. INTENTIONALLY ROBUST The NEXO was not designed around achieving the lowest possible weight. Instead, the focus was placed on durability, stability, and maintaining a convincing flying experience over many years of use. High-quality Porcher materials are used at the leading edge, while the center section uses updated coated Dominico 30D fabric. This combination provides long-term durability and pleasant handling, even after frequent use in humid, dusty, and demanding conditions. The fabric also maintains a secure, non-slippery feel. REDUCED COMPLEXITY Short rods in the nose reduce internal complexity while noticeably decreasing packing volume. The risers are intentionally simple, while the line system follows the same philosophy: clear, trim-stable, and practical for everyday use. TECHNOLOGY Instead of dividing the internal rods and securing two curved pieces with seams, the NEXO uses a continuous loop design. This reduces the number of seams, supports the Air Scoop principle, and does not introduce disadvantages in terms of weight or packing volume. Thin webbing at the leading edge connects the upper and lower surfaces in the center of each cell. This improves leading-edge solidity during flight and is particularly beneficial for maintaining performance when flying at speed. The NEXO is designed to be simple and straightforward to handle both in the air and during packing. A cell pack bag can be used but is not strictly required. Based on NOVA's long-term experience, the packing method has only a minor influence on durability, as bent rods generally return to their original shape naturally. The important factor is storing the wing loosely and without unnecessary stress, avoiding sharp bends in the rods. Short-term compact packing or using a fast pack bag is not problematic. For maximum long-term protection of the rods, NOVA recommends a cell pack bag, which keeps the rods properly aligned and helps prevent permanent deformation. A WING THAT STAYS INTERESTING The NEXO offers plenty of possibilities beyond your first cross-country flights. Its balanced energy behavior makes safety training intuitive and enjoyable, while its dynamic and precise handling provides enough potential for wingovers, SATs, helicopters, and other advanced maneuvers. By combining thermalling, cross-country capability, and freestyle potential, the NEXO offers an exceptionally broad range of use. MODERN BY DESIGN With the NEXO, NOVA's latest design language enters the EN-B category. Clean lines, simplified graphics, and modern colors give the wing a calm yet dynamic appearance. This design approach was first introduced on the XENON 1 and GLITCH, becoming closely associated with the modern NOVA generation and the work of Theo de Blic. WHO IS THE NEXO FOR? The NEXO is designed for pilots who want to combine high passive safety, precise handling, and genuine cross-country capability. It is suited to pilots who enjoy thermalling, exploring cross-country routes, and remaining comfortable and confident throughout the entire flight. IDEAL FOR: Pilots looking for high passive safety Pilots who want XC capability without constant pressure Pilots who appreciate precise thermalling behavior Pilots looking for relaxed behavior during accelerated flight Pilots seeking a durable wing for many years of flying Pilots searching for a true all-rounder WEIGHT RANGE For relaxed thermalling, we recommend flying the NEXO in the middle of the certified weight range. Pilots who spend a lot of time accelerated between thermals will feel particularly comfortable in the upper third of the range. For more dynamic flying and maximum agility, we recommend the upper end of the weight range.
