Supro Early 1930s Lap Steel & As Is National Amp in Case, Very Good

No sales tax for US customers outside California. This Supro early 1930s lap steel in Mother of Pearl is in very good condition. This is an early example of Supro's lap steel production, with a compact body profile — 7" lower bout, 6-1/2" upper bout, and just 1-1/4" deep — typical of the small, lightweight instruments coming out of the National Dobro Corporation stable in the early 1930s. The 23" scale and 2" bone nut are consistent with period Hawaiian-style playing setups, and the original Mother of Pearl wrap remains intact and looking very good for its age. The MOP lap steel body finish is original and in very good shape, with no repairs to the body, fretboard, or nut. The Kluson tuners are original, all screws intact, no headstock modifications. The single Supro pickup reads a healthy 8.21k and is original, though one cover screw is missing or broken off. Both black knobs and both pots are original. The output jack plate has been replaced to add a 1/4" output — a practical and common modification. This is a set piece: the lap steel comes housed in its original case alongside the original, built-in National amp. The amp does not currently work and is included as-is, making this best suited for a player focused on the guitar, a collector, or someone comfortable with amp repair. No documentation or accessories are included with either piece.
