Parioli Occasional Chair
Named after Parioli, one of Rome’s most elegant residential neighbourhoods, the Parioli Armchair takes its cues from a distinctly Italian way of living, relaxed, considered and made for spending time together. Parioli sits just north of Rome’s historic centre, an area known for its leafy streets, private gardens and beautiful early twentieth-century villas. As the neighbourhood evolved, it became a meeting point between old Rome and a more modern Italian design language, refined but never overly formal. It was this feeling that inspired the Parioli. The chair has a generous, sweeping form that feels almost architectural, softened by the warmth and texture of woven rattan. The curved arms flow naturally into the back, creating a chair that feels open and inviting from every angle. There’s something inherently Mediterranean about rattan. It brings a lightness to a room and a sense of informality that suits the Parioli perfectly. Rather than feeling precious, it’s a piece designed to be lived with, pulled up around a table, placed in a quiet corner, or used wherever people naturally tend to gather.
