The 30 km transmission range is achievable only under FCC standards, measured outdoors in an open, interference-free environment. Under SRRC the maximum is 15 km. The figure describes one-way, non-return flight range. Nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing requires surrounding surfaces with discernible textures and illuminance above 0.1 lux, and ground below that is textured and diffusely reflective. The vision system may be limited near reflective surfaces such as water or snow. Do not fly near sources of magnetic or radio interference such as high-voltage lines, power transmission stations, radar stations, mobile base stations, and broadcasting towers.
