Filter Brewing is a practical workshop designed to help baristas understand manual brewing techniques, extraction control, and how to get the best from different coffees through filter preparation. Ideal for Baristas and new coffee professionals, this course explores the fundamentals of filter coffee while introducing participants to a range of brewing methods, recipes, and workflow approaches. Participants will gain a stronger understanding of how brew variables affect flavour and how different coffees respond to different brewing styles. Your team will learn how to: Understand the fundamentals of filter extraction Use different manual brewing methods confidently Adjust recipes to improve flavour and balance Control brew variables such as grind size, temperature, and pour structure Taste and compare different coffees critically Improve consistency across filter preparation Explain flavour and brewing differences to customers Develop confidence discussing specialty coffee By the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident brewing filter coffee consistently and understanding how recipe changes impact flavour.
