Emanuel Whitmarsh violin London 1912
Emauel Whitemarsh started his working life as a stonemason, teaching himself violin making and developing a reputation for good repair work and for good serviceable repair violins, which he produced in large numbers. This violin is in prime condityion and has a handsomely flamed back, nicely set off by Whitmarsh’s orange-brown oil varnish.
