The bottle measures 8.5 inches in total height. The green enamel water bottle was introduced for British service in 1939, replacing the earlier blue enamel version. Its 1937 Pattern webbing carrier was designed to attach to a soldier’s equipment belt, while the shoulder strap allowed it to be carried separately.
