Introducing our Waxed Tokyo Straight-Wide Jeans — a limited edition reinterpretation of one of our most sought-after fabrics. Built from raw indigo crosshatch denim and finished with a premium black wax coating, this fabric has an almost leather-like richness while preserving the depth and irregular texture that made our original Crosshatch Tokyos a favorite. Constructed with the same collector-level details as our Selvedge Tokyo Jeans — including a button fly, chainstitched hems, and bias-taped outseams — every element was chosen with intention to create a jean that feels as refined as it is durable. Please read care instructions below.* _____ Made with Waxed Indigo Crosshatch Denim* Cut from a structured 15.5oz crosshatch denim woven with an indigo core and finished with a deep black wax treatment. Unlike traditional denim, crosshatch fabric uses irregular slub yarns running in both the warp and weft, creating subtle texture in every direction throughout the weave. The wax enhances this natural grain, giving the surface remarkable depth and a rich, almost leather-like appearance. Although the exterior is finished in black wax, the denim underneath is indigo. As the jeans are worn, the wax gradually softens and burnishes while the black finish begins to reveal hints of the indigo beneath. Over time, high-wear areas develop beautiful blue undertones, creating a patina unique to every pair. The result is a jean that becomes more personal with every wear — one that tells its own story through creases, fades, and evolving texture. Heavy. Structured. Designed to age beautifully. ______ Please Read (Raw Crosshatch Care Instructions): We intentionally left these jeans raw, unwashed, and untreated. We didn't wash these jeans, and neither should you (for a few months) to allow the denim to fade naturally with wear. If you must wash, turn the garment inside out, then hand wash with cold water only and very little soap, and then hang dry to finish. To minimize shrinkage and maintain the garment's texture, do not use a machine or dryer, ever.
