The PRS Custom 24 is the guitar that started it all, and this Sprayer's Choice build is centred around a piece of maple that deserves some serious attention. This is officially a Flame Maple 10-Top, but the depth, curl, and 2-tone character of the figuring make a strong argument for something you could expect to see selected for a Private Stock build. It’s an unusually beautiful piece of maple that was hand-picked specifically for its natural character. What makes it even more special is the natural two-tone appearance of the top itself. There’s a dramatic variation running through the maple, with lighter figuring through the centre transitioning naturally into richer golden tones toward the edges. Rather than cover that character with a more dramatic color, the finishing team leaned into exactly what made the wood special in the first place. The Natural Honey Burst was deliberately chosen to complement those existing tones, bringing out the depth and movement of the figuring while allowing the maple itself to remain the star. Underneath that exceptional top is everything players love about the flagship Custom 24: a Mahogany back and Pattern Thin Mahogany neck, East Indian Rosewood fretboard and headstock veneer, Gen III tremolo, Hybrid hardware, and DMO pickups controlled by the classic 5-way blade.
