Vintage Desmo Vehicle Tyre Foot Pump This piece of automobilia history is a Vintage Desmo Vehicle Tyre Foot Pump made by Desmo, Brierley Hill, Staffordshire. It dates to about 1960. Made from Steel and Rubber, it is in pretty good working condition with surface scuffs and scratches commensurate with age and use but still retains some of its original blue/grey coating. I haven't tried to polish it or remove the rust as I wanted to retain the patina. The welding of one end of the spring wire has become loose but this has no effect on the pump operation. The original owner has also added a metal hook so that he could hang the pump from his garage shelf. This can be removed.
