Featuring two tall clear glazed panels, the Rutland allows plenty of natural light into the entrance while retaining the strength, insulation and durability required from a high-performance external door. Supplied grey primed in RAL 7038, the door arrives ready for final decoration, allowing it to be finished in a colour that complements your property. Unlike a conventional timber external door, the Rutland uses an advanced 45mm multi-layer insulated construction designed to provide excellent stability and reduce heat loss. The door incorporates an XPS insulated core, structural LVL core with Meranti lipping and an integrated aluminium reinforcement layer, helping to provide increased rigidity and resistance to movement and warping. With a U-value of approximately 1.32–1.36 W/m²K, the Thermawood Rutland provides impressive thermal performance, helping to create a warmer and more energy-efficient entrance to the property. The two vertical glazed sections provide a bright and welcoming appearance while maintaining the door's thermal performance. The glazing incorporates clear toughened safety glass with Low-E coating and Argon gas filling, improving insulation without significantly reducing the amount of natural light entering the property. A major benefit of the Thermawood range is its generous adjustment allowance. The Rutland can be trimmed by up to 25mm from each edge, making it particularly useful for replacement doors, renovation projects and openings where additional on-site adjustment may be required.
