Sanguisorba 'Tanna'
Sanguisorba 'Tanna' (Burnet) Sanguisorba 'Tanna' is a compact and beautifully refined burnet, it produces a neat mound of attractive, pinnate blue-green foliage from which slender stems rise to carry deep crimson, bottlebrush-shaped flower heads through summer and into autumn. A superb plant for pollinators, it is particularly attractive to bees and butterflies. 'Tanna' is one of the most garden-worthy of the burnets, combining a restrained habit with a long and generous flowering season. It works beautifully at the front or middle of a border, in naturalistic or prairie-style plantings, and is equally at home in a large container. Its fine-textured foliage provides interest long before and after flowering, making it a genuinely four-season plant.
