La Colette Exotic Made to Order

Fish leather is one of the only responsible and sustainable exotics. Our cow leather is a byproduct of the meat industry (no cow is killed for its hide) and the fish skins are an incredible new byproduct of the fishing industry, providing fishing communities with another source of income. The main body of this bag is vachetta leather. The French hides arrive to us after getting vegetable-tanned in Tuscany, Italy. We then cut and stain each piece by hand which results in a unique bag, every time. Fully lined with black chèvre leather with an interior pocket that mirrors the exterior pocket. The top closes securely with magnetic snaps. Every bit of this bag is stitched by hand using French waxed linen. It is finished off with our Soj logo, reserved for our hand-stitched luxury bags, which is named after Linny's Arabian horse, Sojourner, the horse she rode from coast to coast in 2010.
