Medina, Colombia – Pala Kaffebrenneri

A washed Pink Bourbon from Huila, grown by Maria and Wilson Medina and roasted in Trondheim by Pala Kaffebrenneri. Red apple and bergamot, with a sweet, floral finish. Pink Bourbon is one of the more demanding varieties to grow in Colombia. It ripens to a soft pink or orange rather than deep red, so pickers have to judge ripeness by a much subtler colour change, and yields are low compared to the Castillo and Colombia varieties that dominate the country. Grown at 1870 masl and picked across the October to December 2025 harvest.
