ASSA dp4400 Snowman Cutaway in Kaba 312 Padlock Body by Jordan the Locksmith

Condition: New old stock, new key and pins This custom ASSA dp4400 "Snowman" cutaway is mounted in a Kaba 312 padlock body. It exposes the split sliders that make the dp4400 such an unusual platform, while keeping enough material in the right places for picking practice. It is built on a new old stock core with a new key and a new set of pins. The lock remains functional and can be picked, making it well suited for picking practice, study, and display. As with any cutaway lock, gentle picking and light tension are recommended to preserve the lock and maintain proper operation. Jordan the Locksmith is a full-time locksmith and custom cutaway maker. He has been picking locks since around 2010 and has worked professionally as a locksmith since 2017. Jordan began making cutaways in 2019 as a way to better understand lock mechanics and improve his own picking, starting with simple hand tools before moving into more precise mill work.
