The ABCC of CACB
During their residency at CAC Brétigny, Coline Sunier and Charles Mazé are in charge of the art centre’s visual identity, conceived as a long-term research project. ‘The ABCC of CACB’ is a collection of letters, signs, and symbols made or selected in relation to the art centre, its programme, and the artists who exhibit their work. This corpus is embodied in a new typeface called LARA, activated through communication materials. By associating multiple voices within the same typeface – whose glyphs continue to grow in number – with writings that are alternately vernacular, institutional, personal, and public, they examine the geographic, political, and artistic context of CAC Brétigny.
