Shincha Zairai Asamushi 2026 - Tamakawa

Shincha from seed-grown plants in Tamakawa, in the hills of the Southern Japanese Alps. The leaf looks rougher than a single cultivar tea and that is the point: the cup is rich in umami with a natural, old-fashioned character that a uniform planting cannot give you. Almost nobody farms this way anymore.
