(A pun: bola can mean both "ball, sphere" and "crowd, mob", bolón is a superlative with the latter meaning). *** Lalo Alcaraz is a cartoonist most known for being the author of the comic La Cucaracha, the first nationally syndicated, politically themed Latino daily comic strip launched in 2002. A leading figure in the Chicano movement, Lalo formerly contributed political cartoons for LA Weekly from 1992 - 2010. He co-hosts a radio show on KPFK called the "Pocho Hour of Power" and he is the "Jefe-in-Chief" of POCHO.COM, a website specializing in "News y Satire."
