Made of aluminized steel, each pan features a nonstick coating on the top surface for smooth release while the back remains uncoated. This design helps create an evenly baked bottom with a beautiful golden crust as the butter from the salt bread melts during baking. Also known as a shio pan (Japanese salt butter roll) mold Due to the single-sided coating process, the coating may not completely cover the edges of the pan. This is normal and is not considered a defect.
