2004 50c Clouded Sulphur Butterfly - Sterling Silver Coin
Description In 2004, the Royal Canadian Mint introduced a new series of Proof quality sterling silver half dollars featuring Canada’s butterflies. Capture the beauty in nature with this Royal Canadian Mint sterling silver 50 cent coin. Clouded Sulphur: Although the Clouded Sulphur looks yellow, it does have a number of distinguishing marks that may appear in a variety of colours. The bright yellow males have a black dot on each forewing and an orange dot on each hindwing with a black edge that is thicker on the forewing. On the creamier coloured females, this black edge has yellow blotches while their spots and edging can also be monochromatic which makes them appear solid white.
