Arts & Crafts Enamel Pin by Bernard Instone

DATE: Arts & Crafts, c.1930 A super charming Arts and Crafts pin by Bernard Instone, finished with gorgeous coloured enamel flowers throughout, and topped with charming little marcasite stones at the centre of each flower. Its modelled in silver throughout, and signed Bernard Instone to the back. Looks great worn as a brooch, but also as a colourful pendant! At the age of 22, Instone began working at the Birmingham School of Jewellery. His role was to assist in classes, however, he also produced his own jewellery. It was at this point in his life that he began to undertake jewellery commissions. He soon set up his own business, and pieces were often characterised by leaves, flowers, different coloured enamels and semi precious stones.
