Even in modern times where efficiency is prioritized, we continue to use pit-tanned horse leather, which takes the longest time. The Art of Dyeing The base color is dyed a reddish-brown without penetrating the dye into the core of the horse leather, and then a translucent black is dyed over it. This complex dyeing creates the color of this Black Vintage. The Art of Finishing After creating a thick luster with glazing, a crumpling process is applied to create wrinkles and a whitish appearance. The crumpling process brings out a richer expression on the grain surface due to differences in fiber quality in different parts. Horse Nume Black Vintage is made with the wonderful properties of horse leather and the extensive techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horse leather. We meticulously craft each item based on standards designed to maximize the potential of this horse leather. -Reticulated Py (Diamond Py)- Named diamond python for the continuous diamond-shaped patterns and markings covering its entire body. For this piece, we used a back-cut type that emphasizes the belly scales and applied a green gradation dye. Unlike the wild diamond-shaped patterns on the back, this features a beautiful gradation dye that highlights the large scales of the belly. The finish offers both wildness and elegance.
