Schertler Jam 150 Acoustic Amp and Ext. Cab - ex-Martin Barre
Schertler Jam 150 acoustic amplification setup, comprising the Jam 150 combo amplifier and matching extension cabinet. This particular system was formerly owned by Martin Barre of Jethro Tull. Designed specifically for acoustic instruments, the Jam 150 combines a natural-sounding preamp with a powerful 150-watt amplifier section and a versatile range of inputs and controls. It has four-channel, with a mixer-style control layout. Channels 1 and 2 each feature balanced XLR inputs alongside High-Z 1/4" inputs, while Channel 3 adds both High-Z and Low-Z inputs. The first three channels have independent High, Mid and Low EQ, effects level and volume controls. Channel 4 provides High and Low EQ with stereo RCA inputs, making it suitable for keyboards, computers or other line-level sources. It's equally suited to acoustic guitar, vocals and other acoustic sources, with the extension cabinet providing additional projection and headroom when required. The JAM150 also features a DI output, stereo RCA recording outputs with dedicated level control, and an effects loop. Onboard digital effects provide one delay and three reverb settings, while the master volume controls the local monitoring level independently of the DI output. The Jam 150 is known for its clear, detailed reproduction and straightforward controls, making it a practical choice for both live performance and studio use. The matching extension cabinet completes the system and allows the amplifier to deliver a larger, more expansive sound when required. Presented in excellent condition, complete with original soft gig bag cases. A useful and versatile acoustic amplification setup, with the added provenance of having previously been owned by Martin Barre.
