This variety is highly prized for its exceptional sweetness, with Brix measurements reaching into the high 20s, and a distinctively crisp snap. The Sedona Sweet is a chance seedling discovered in an old orchard among heirloom varieties from our former nursery, Sonoma Antique Apple Nursery. It is the absolute last tree to bloom in the orchard, allowing it to miss the late spring frosts of the Sedona floor. Traditionally harvested in late autumn, these apples have excellent long-term storage qualities. They function as high-quality winter keepers, often retaining their flavor and crispness through early frosts of December and January.
