19th Century Spanish Black and Gilt Mirror The rectangular frame of gently moulded form, the outer edge carved with a continuous grènetis (beaded) border, the flat frieze ebonised in black with parcel-gilt acanthus-scroll corner cartouches and paired mid-rail bosses of scrolling foliate form, the inner slip moulding similarly gilt; retaining the original mercury glass plate, now with characterful foxing, silvering loss, and clouding commensurate with age throughout.
