Choke collars, or slip collars, have been around for many years. Our version of the choke collar, constructed of double-braided rope, is coveted by trainers around the world. The beauty of the choke collar is that it makes training your dog to walk on a lead much easier than a regular buckle collar. This type of collar is designed to be positioned at the top of a dogs' neck, making corrections much more effective. Our rope version is much more humane than a choke chain and will smoothly release following correction and will not lock up or pull fur out. Made with 2 welded steel rings. To determine correct size measure around dogs head at the widest point and add 2 inches. Sizing Information: 5/16" Diameter - Suitable for dogs between 17-50 lbs. 7/16" Diameter - Suitable for dogs over 50 lbs. Please note, these are general recommendations, each dog is unique and different. Please evaluate size recommendations and adjust for your dog appropriately. Fitting Your Collar: With smaller dogs (under 25 lbs) you generally want to adjust collar so that you can easily fit one finger under the collar. With larger dogs (over 25 lbs) you should adjust collar so that you can easily place two fingers under the collar.
