This playful, surrealist "Malitte" seating system was designed by the Chilean artist and architect Roberto Matta and manufactured in Italy by Gavina in the 1960s. The sculptural assemblage features five interlocking forms which Tetris together to create a single wall, or can be deconstructed into a full living room set which an array of individual seating options for up to six guests. Our set has been fully restored, reupholstered in a thick, nubby, wool textile by Maharam (Hearth). The color palette was inspired by a landscape and features earthy tones meant to bring the soul of the outdoors into your space.
