75 Years of Porsche Motorsport: 911 GT1 Le Mans Poster

75 years ago, Porsche were barely settled into their first real factory, one model to their name, and someone had the nerve to suggest they take it to Le Mans. What followed is, at this point, almost impossible to summarise. The breadth of what Porsche have built in motorsport is so vast and so relentlessly impressive that racing and Porsche are more or less inseparable concepts now. Trying to distill three quarters of a century into a handful of moments felt like a fool's errand, but we gave it a go anyway with the new limited Type 7 motorsport poster series honouring the moments that defined that momentous legacy. This poster captures the 996 GT1 #25 and #26 sealing their historic one-two at the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche’s 16th overall victory at the race, reaffirming the brand’s dominance at Circuit de La Sarthe.
