Clearaudio Compass Turntable
Clearaudio opens the door to genuine High-End technology with the ready-to-play turntable the Clearaudio Compass – compact, uncompromising and accessible. As the result of a development process spanning more than two years, the compass brings the full fascination of analogue sound reproduction to the point – for all those who want not just to hear music, but to experience it. In order to enable high-quality vinyl enjoyment in this price class, Clearaudio have focused their know-how on what is acoustically relevant. The heart is formed by a precise bearing in conjunction with an exactly manufactured platter-sub-platter system. Added to this are the new tonearm T1, a compact version of the proven Satisfy tonearm, as well as the specially developed MM cartridge N1 – a combination that enables a listening experience that goes far beyond the expectations of the compact class. Every acoustically critical component – from the tonearm via the cartridge to the bearing – is manufactured with the utmost care during the build process in Erlangen. Precision-machined components, selected materials and a construction designed for longevity stand for clearaudio-typical quality “handmade in Germany”. The compass is convincing not only in terms of sound, but also through its clear formal language. Available in the colours Black and Silver, its design combines purist elegance with technical sophistication. The massive steel plate on the underside ensures stability and supports low-resonance playback behaviour. A high-quality acrylic dust cover with stainless steel hinges protects the turntable without disrupting the design. The Clearaudio compass is delivered completely ready to play and thus enables direct entry into the world of high-quality musical enjoyment. An intuitive toggle switch on the underside of the unit activates the desired speed, the precision-manufactured tonearm is gently lowered via a precision-turned aluminium lever. Height-adjustable feet with integrated decoupling guarantee optimum running smoothness.
