Secondhand Torqeedo 1103CS electric outboard with accessories

Secondhand Torqeedo 1103CS (Short shaft). This is a lightly-used Short / S shaft version of the Torqeedo 1103CS electric outboard, suitable for transom heights from about 35 to 50cm. Manufactured in 2020, it does show a few signs of age – some surface cosmetic corrosion on the bracket etc – but is in full working condition and importantly the battery still shows 100% after several weeks in storage. As with all Torqeedo 1103 motors it has a super-quiet 1100W direct-drive motor with a 916Wh capacity lithium battery. Performance/range vary with the boat and load, but as a general guideline on a typical 2.5m dinghy with two people on board you should get about 4 knots for two hours or so, ie 8-10 nautical mile range. This increases a great deal if you slow down slightly, but also decreases quite fast if you try to go faster (power and speed are exponentially related). Options included with this secondhand Torqeedo 1103CS are a 12V DC charging lead, a spare magnetic kill cord, and a bag set… altogether worth about another £300 if purchased new. The 12V lead appears unused, battery bag is in very good condition, motor bag has some corrosion on the zips which will need either unseizing (patience and hot soapy water usually do it) or worst case replacing. Mains charger, battery lock pin, steering lock pin etc all included as normal. Whilst the 1103 was discontinued about three years ago amazingly there are still some dealers trying to sell their remaining stock at or near the RRP of £2049 (plus the accessories). Based on that the price of this entire set would be about £2350. At the owner’s asking price of £1100 this is therefore a bit below half price, which we think is fair. We see much older ones go for more during bidding frenzies on eBay…
