A clockwork singing bird demonstration model. Two birds sing to each other in turn with a visible mechanism and fine clockwork with intermittent and continuous birdsong singing a loud and clear melody. Made in Germany using the same design and mechanism as the classic French Bontems singing birds of the 19th century. You can see all the principle parts in operation including the Cams, Triple Bellows and Piston Whistle mechanisms.
