Vintage moroccan rug - purple, yellow - Cotton boucherouite - 3x5.7feet / 93x175cm

This is such a cool, versatile rug! It is made out of colorful cotton threads knotted on a cotton and recycled pieces of clothing base. We call that technique "boucherouite" and those rugs usually come in bright colors. Backgound of this rug shows two shades of a warm purple, with bright yellow, spontaneous, unstructured diamonds and touches of orange. It is a lovely rug you can easily move from a room to another, unless you would think of hanging it on a wall like a colorful piece of art! The rug is handmade. Medium pile. No wool. Can be cleaned at home using water and soap, which makes it a kid and pet friendly rug! Pictures were taken in my all white studio in Marrakech. They have been edited but colors are accurate.
