2020 Parke Vineyard, Pinot Noir
Click here for Technical Sheet This Pinot Noir comes from the Wismer family’s Parke Vineyard in the Twenty Mile Bench region of Niagara. This excellent site located northeast of the winery was planted in 1999 with clones 667 and 115. At an elevation of around 100 meters, just over 5 kilometers, from Lake Ontario, this vineyard is planted just south of Hanck Vineyard and is home to magnesium-rich clay loam soils, producing wines with excellent minerality and structure. We have chosen to bottle this wine separately to showcase the unique characteristics of this vineyard. "95 points. It jumps from the glass with a lifted floral note followed by concentrated dark cherries, forest berries, damp earth, savoury notes and spice (27% new oak). It’s pretty and untamed at the same time with complexity and layers of red berries, cassis, and anise. " - Rick VanSickle, Wines In Niagara
